Although many tourists come to Port Antonio looking for the nice beaches and the sun, rainy days are very common. But do not worry, weather changes quickly here, if you see clouds when you wake up, do not worry. Take a shower, have breakfast and ... Get ready for the beach!

In the picture you can see one of the colonial era buildings in downtown Port Antonio. If you are looking for a cheap place to sleep, this is where you have to go. But if you want to sleep in one of the best places in the world, you should look for a hotel in the Fairy Hills area.

Other two nice beaches in the area are Chatham Beach and Tropical Beach. Chatham Beach is a small public beach in front of Sandals Inn. Tropical Beach is north of Montego's airport. More than half of this beach belongs to Sandals Montego Bay. You may have difficulties accessing this part of the beach, but the rest of the beach is free. The area of Montego is excellent for sport fishing and for sailing. You can also charter a private yacht.
